Description
Found this red marble laying around so I pick it up and stuck it in my pocket. Then later that day as I found myself siting at a restaurant waiting for food, I had time to spend so I got the marble and placed it on the table top and began to shoot a few close ups of it. I was so pleased at the colors and the shine on the table from the lights in the ceiling! Wonderful for any wall in your home or office, or perhaps a greeting card. Many more wonderful works can be
found in my various galleries, from photographs and photo art to digital creations and abstracts. Thanks for browsing, commenting and most of all for any purchases. Debbie Portwood :D.....................(Wikipedia - A Still Life is a work of art depicting mostly inanimate subject matter, typically commonplace objects which may be either natural (food, flowers, plants, rocks, or shells) or man-made (drinking glasses, books, vases, jewelry, coins, pipes, and so on). With origins in the Middle Ages and Ancient Greek/Roman art, still life paintings give the artist more leeway in the arrangement of design elements within a composition than do paintings of other types of subjects such as landscape or portraiture. Still life paintings, particularly before 1700, often contained religious and allegorical symbolism relating to the objects depicted. Some modern still life breaks the two-dimensional barrier and employs three-dimensional mixed media, and uses found objects, photography, computer graphics, as well as video and sound.

Thanks so much Kim! I love the way it turned out too. I was one of those wonderful surprises that came from just taking randome shots while sitting in Taco Bell waiting for the food! Took it at the same time I shot my grandaughter filling her cup with ice.. That is the one that just sold! :D I really does pay to just shoot everything that looks interesting! :D
